It's Lame, I Know, But...

Wednesday, August 10th
...I haven't had a chance to get the pics off my husband's computer! I did find some pictures of the strange wiring and plumbing that are in place under the house, though.

This picture is taken inside the unfinished basement - looking straight up to the ceiling, I believe.
Valves and pipes going nowhere, in some cases.

We laughed at some of the notes people left for themselves (or others, who knows?).

Another shot at the ceiling in the unfinished basement. We cringed at the creased copper piping. Then we realized that it goes nowhere. No problem!

Back under the deck/Sunset room...

Somewhere under...

More from underneath - and more rock wall!

I just noticed the furry thing about the middle-bottom of the shot. Skunk? Hard to tell, but there was no smell.

This beauty is inside a cubby, inside another door that is in bedroom #2 downstairs. There is also an electrical outlet between the doors. Confused? Think of it this way. You walk into a bedroom. On the left is what looks like a closet door. You open it. The 'closet' itself is only about 5 inches deep and on the wall to the left is an electrical outlet. There's another knob/door. You open it and find this. Nice, huh?

On that very strange note, I will finish this entry. More tomorrow - with great pics, I promise (even if I have to drive up and take them myself!).

Day Twelve

  1. In the first picture of the pipes it looks like they iron pipes not copper. Are they water pipes? All of these pictures make me wonder about the person that did this. It does not look very professional. What will the inspectors think?

  2. Yes, I think they are probably iron. As to what's in them? The previous owner might be able to tell us.
The previous owner did much of the work himself, I believe. He did the additions without permits (that's way they listed the house at only 1702 sq ft) and there's no telling what the inspectors will think. We're waiting on the county electrical inspector(s) now. We'll see! Always an adventure, right?
