More addendums to sign, more paperwork (Yes, I know, it's only begun!). I met with our broker (I'm an agent, but she's doing the paperwork for us) to give her the most recent signatures & deposit check. Well, that was really just an excuse to show her the house. As you might imagine, she'd heard a ton about it, so she was curious.
This is a picture taken from the balcony looking back at the master bedroom. Whatever vine that is that's all over the balcony, is strangling one of the orange trees below. Can't wait to get in and trim. Well, maybe chop.
I'm not sure how long my broker/friend and I were there, but I think she might have more ideas about what to do with the house than we do! Here is a woman who gets in and gets the work done. Nothing is too daunting to her, I think. Before we left, she was itching to get in and start tearing things apart. Through our conversation I learned many things. Not the least of which is that she and her husband own a dump truck. Yep, full-sized, load-em-up-and-haul-it-off-dump-truck. Aw, the beauty of friendship! It was a grand day all the way around.
Now for some pictures from under the house & deck...
Rock wall on the right.
Some more rock wall...
Steps leading up the hillside, now hidden by the deck. More rock wall on the lower left.
This is a cement pond that is, of course, under the deck. More rock wall behind it.
More steps leading up the hillside.
Rock wall way down at the end.
I don't seem to have any pictures of the lovely MDF lined beginnings of a room under the house. I'll do my best to find one and post it soon. Maybe with the basement pictures...
