It's been a long week and we're mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted. How is this possible? We haven't done any work on the house - it's not even ours!
We took the night off from visiting 'our house' but I'm getting complaints that I'm not posting enough pictures, so...
This is another view from the street. The open gate is where we currently enter the property, even though there is another gate to the right. The main gate is sagging and will not open easily. Nice chimney, huh?
(The blackened spot on the fence is the realtor's sign that I covered up.)
Once inside the fence, you come upon what is (or at least will be) the front door. This door opens into an entry area which leads into the kitchen and the livingroom (library).
This is inside the front area, to the right of the front door (although this picture was taken from the other side). The old tool shed will probably come down, but the steps are beautiful and will remain. The whole area over to the left is planted with all manner of trees & bushes, including blackberries (yum!). Once the foliage has been trimmed, this patio will be a beautiful sitting area.
To the left and above the stairs. This may look like a mess, but it really is gorgeous!
This picture was taken from inside the covered patio. If you turn to the left of the previous picture, you'd come to a latticework door (it's outside the picture to the right, here). Ivy and Mimosa Trees abound! Other than the first floor apartment, this patio area has been the coolest spot on the property each time we visit. The rock wall that you see on the left is just one of many such walls that are on the property. Two or three of them are even under some of the later additions to the home.
Back in the real world, the new contract landed in my e-mail.
Day Seven
I really like the last two pictures in this blog. I am going thru all of your blogs again to see what I did not see the first time.
